About#

Hey, I’m Artem Alperin, a software engineer and all-around tinkerer based in 🇳🇱 Amsterdam. This is my personal blog, where I’ll write about my work, experiments, ideas, and opinions on topics related to distributed systems, database infrastructure, and performance optimization.

I’m particularly drawn to low-level systems programming, Linux internals, large-scale data processing, and designing software that is both efficient and reliable.

I enjoy exploring concurrency, system design, and contributing to open-source projects. Writing high-performance code in C++ and Go excites me, especially at the intersection of complex algorithms and concurrent systems.

In my free time, I pursue two passions that are a little off the beaten path: working towards being a yacht skipper and collecting vinyl records, blending a love for precision and craftsmanship with a taste for analog nostalgia.
